Seven bee species get protection under Endangered Species Act

Seven species of bees native to the Hawaii islands have been added to the endangered species list of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS), the Xerces Society that advocated for the new designation has announced.

The Federal Register states that yellow-faced bees feature yellow-to-white facial markings, and they look like small wasps, except for their plumose [branched] hairs on the body.
