Tech giant Google has confirmed that it is rolling out a new tool to help Android users in one aspect of the popular mobile operating system’s customization.
A broad range of customization options, a feature that rival tech giant Apple isn’t offering to iOS users, is one of the key advantages of the Android mobile OS. But, it also creates a problem for those who simply can’t make up their mind on what they want their mobile devises to look like.
Google Fiber has announced that it won’t expand in other cities for the moment as the company aims to push forward in wireless segment. In a Friday announcement, Google said that it plans to gradually end support for Chrome apps on all platforms excepting Chrome OS.
According to the announcement, the special apps which Google had launched in 2013 to run inside the Chrome browser will be removed from the Windows, Mac and Linux platforms by early 2018. These special apps were introduced by Google for offering new functions which were otherwise not available on the web.
Founder of GV, earlier known as Google Ventures, Bill Maris is quitting his position by the end of this week. Maris, who founded the unit in 2009, would be replaced by David Krane, a managing partner at GV.
Krane have spent around a decade at the post of Google’s director of global communications and public affairs and then joined HV in 2010. Experts said that it is big news as a high-profile departure is going to take place within Alphabet, parent company to GV and many other units.
