According to a Reuters report, Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a Tuesday announcement that his company has plans underway to increase its investment in China, and to build its first Asia-Pacific Research and Development (R&D) center in the country.

The report has revealed that Cook -- during a trip to China -- made a commitment to Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli that Apple’s first Asia-Pacific R&D center will be built in China by the end of 2016.

A group of international scientists has successfully sequenced the genome of a quite hungry and ‘gluttonous’ caterpillar called tobacco hornworm.

The details of genome sequence study have been made public by the Kansas State University-led research team with a hope of making way for a new research.

The genome study’s main author, Professor Michael Kanost, a biochemistry expert from Kansas State, said that the project is an outcome of years of joint research worldwide.
