Verizon is offering $100 bill credit on purchase of select handsets

Bigwig US wireless carrier Verizon has announced a new promotion - for new as well as existing customers - under which it will offer a $100 bill credit to customers when they purchase select devices available on its network.

The announcement of the new promotion by Verizon comes one day after the carrier revealed that it would be carrying Samsung's latest Galaxy flagship smartphones --- the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge. Both the devices are now available for pre-order on Verizon and other carriers.

Announcing the new promotion, Verizon said that the devices on which it will give customers a $100 bill credit on purchase include Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge handsets, as well as Motorola's Droid Turbo, Droid Turbo 2, and Droid Maxx 2 handsets.

In addition, the $100 bill credit will also be applicable to 'switchers' -- customers who switch over to Verizon from rival carriers -- and those who add a new line of service.

The $100 bill credit will be given by Verizon to 'switchers' will be available over and above the $650 amount which the carrier gives for covering their early termination charges from other carriers. Moreover, Verizon will also offer an additional 2GB of data per month for life to customers who have subscribed to their XL or XXL data plans.
