Microsoft adds Google Drive and Facebook Photos integration to Outlook

In a recent announcement made via a post on the Outlook blog, Microsoft has revealed that it has improved its Outlook.com website by integrating it with Google Drive and Facebook Photos.

The announcement implies that Outlook.com users will, in the near future, be able to send Google Drive documents as well as Facebook Photos through email to their families, friends, and colleagues.

The integration of Outlook with Google Drive will give Outlook.com users the ability to attach files in Outlook, and also to edit files from Google Drive straight from Outlook. The integration with Facebook Photos, on the other hand, will allow Outlook users to connect a Facebook account, and select from their photos to attach directly to the email.

The integration of Google Drive and Facebook Photos with Outlook will soon be manifest from the availability of a new ‘attachments view’ addition to Outlook, unfolding the options for both of the services.

Microsoft’s move to add Google Drive and Facebook Photos integration to Outlook will, however, not have any effect on the Outlook mobile app for Android and iOS, because the app already supports Google Drive and Facebook Photos for quite some time now.
