Apple asking about headphone jack in surveys sent to MacBook Pro users

According to a MacRumors report, tech giant Apple has been sending out surveys to MacBook Pro users in recent weeks, asking them the headphone jack and other ports, including the SD card slot.

The questions asked by Apple in the survey hint at the possible removal of the headphone jack on the future versions of the MacBook Pro laptop, especially after the port has been removed on the company’s recently-announced latest iPhones – iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

With the new iPhones doing away with the headphone jack, it is possible that Apple will likely continue the trend will for its other products as well.

Hinting at such a possibility, one of the survey questions shared by MacRumors reader Blake specifically asks MacBook Pro users if they ever use the headphone jack on their MacBook Pro with Retina display.

Other than Blake, some other MacBook Pro users have also revealed in Twitter posts that Apple has questioned them about the headphone jack on their laptops.

Moreover, along with questions about the headphone jack, Apple is also asking MacBook Pro users about battery life and other ports on the device. In one question, Apple has asked the users: "How do you upload photos from a digital camera or phone to your MacBook Pro with Retina Display?"
