HTC and Valve announce better Vive bundle with some impressive VR games

HTC and Valve have announced the launch of a new package which bundles the HTC Vive virtual reality (VR) headset with some impressive games, including two of the best-seller games presently available from Steam VR.

The new HTC Vive bundle announced by HTC and Vive is notably better than the VR apps bundle which was available for the headset at launch. That bundle -- which basically familiarized consumers with the new VR headset technology -- packaged three VR apps with the HTV Vive headset. Those apps were Tilt Brush, Job Simulator and Fantastic Contraption.

The new HTC Vive bundle which comprises some remarkable games includes the April-launched episodic adventure-puzzle game, The Gallery - Episode 1: Call of the Starseed from Cloudhead Games. The cost of the game from Steam VR is $30.

Another noteworthy addition to the HTC Vive bundle is the Zombie Training Simulator --- a game which offers cartoonish graphics, and requires gamers to shoot at virtual zombie cardboard cutouts. The game costs $20 without the bundle.

Finally, the new HTC Vive bundle features the Tilt Brush app, which was already included with the HTC Vive at launch. The app, created by Google, enables users to paint in 3D space. The cost of the app usually is $30.
