Microsoft launches Xbox One Summer Update

Microsoft has launched Xbox summer update for gaming fans and the technology major has added Cortona, background music and many other interesting features. For Xbox One users in the United States and the UK, Cortona has been added in the latest update. Xbox and Windows Store will be merged with the latest update.

All Xbox consoles will receive the much-awaited summer update. Microsoft is expected to launch Windows 10 update in few days and Xbox team has taken the lead in launching a major summer update.

In its official release, Microsoft informed, “Nearly all of the features that were included in Preview in early June are part of today's update, and there have also been a few additions since then such as Language Region Independence for Xbox One and the recent release of the Xbox app on both iOS and Android.”

Gaming lovers will simply enjoy Cortona for Xbox One as they will be able to talk to their console. Cortona will help them accomplish certain tasks pretty easily. Cortona can be used now to search for games to play, inviting friends, launch Xbox applications and for many other simple commands. That will make life much easier.

Informing about better games collection, Microsoft said, “We’ve updated the Game Collection interface to make it faster and easier to find and launch the games you’re looking for. Now you’ll be able to sort, manage and see more of your Game Collection easily, quickly access your own ‘Ready to Install’ tab, update your games or apps using the new ‘Updates’ tab, and get more information about titles in your queue.”

Other features include, ‘Facebook Friend Finder’, better sharing options and language region independence.

A story published by the Verge informed, “Microsoft's Xbox One summer update is available for all consoles right now, ahead of the Xbox One S hardware launch on August 2nd. The Windows 10 Anniversary Update will be available for PCs on August 2nd as a free update.”
