Dentist Added To Wabash Valley Health Center Panel

Isaiah Jernberg, who was earlier serving as a volunteer for a local health clinic, has again started to work as a permanent dentist to offer assistance to the community. The Wabash Valley Health Center now has a full-time dentist, with the return of Isaiah Jernberg. The center will unveil the dental clinic, which has been completely revamped, during the events that will take place at the forthcoming National Health Center Week.

Jernberg is a resident of Seelyville and a few years ago used to offer his services voluntarily to the former St. Ann’s Dental Clinic on Locust Street. During his latest experience, he has been working in Paris, Illinois as a dentist. However, he is more content to be coming closer to his hometown at a clinic that is located at 1436 Locust.

Jernberg will be part of the 35-members of the staff that will work at the clinic. The community will be meeting the staff members of the clinic when special events will be conducted during five days from August 8 to August 12, 2016. Children who will participate in activities that will be conducted on Monday between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. will be awarded with free haircuts, snowcones, health and hygiene supplies as well as prizes.

On Tuesday, children at Vigo County will begin the new year at the schools. “All the activities this week are just a way to give back to the community that we serve, and to the community in general. You do not have to receive services from us to attend,” said Charlie Welker, the CEO of the Health Center.

Health and safety screenings, like blood pressure checks, blood sugar screenings, dental education and supplies, will be carried out on August 9 between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Refreshments will also be served during this time.
