Canada introduces legislation to legalise marijuana

New York [U.S.], Apr. 14 (ANI): The highly anticipated legislation aimed at regulating recreational marijuana use by July 2018 has been introduced by the Canadian Government.

The new legislation paves the way for the country to become the first in the G7 to fully legalise the drug, reports CNN.

Since becoming the Liberal leader in 2013, Justin Trudeau has argued that the decriminalisation and regulation of marijuana would help keep the drug away from children and ensure profits don't end up in the hands of what the prime minister described as "criminal elements".

N. Korea warns US not to be militarily adventurous

Seoul [South Korea], April 14 (ANI): North Korea on Friday reportedly warned the United States not to be militarily adventurous and think of initiating a missile strike on its soil.

The country's vice foreign minister, Han Song Ryol, was quoted by media, as saying that the Korean Peninsula is passing through a "vicious cycle".

Ryol was further quoted, as saying, that countries like the United States should not expect Pyongyang to not to respond if a a pre-emptive strike was launched on it.

Air China to suspend flights to North Korea from Monday

Beijing [China], Apr 14 (ANI): Air China will suspend flights between Beijing and Pyongyang, North Korea, beginning April 17, according to reports.

"Air China to cancel flights from Beijing to #Pyongyang starting from Apr 17 due to shortage of passengers," tweeted People's Daily China.

South China Morning Post also reported that starting Monday, flights between the two countries have been put on hold due to lack of passengers in the past.

Air China is the only Chinese carrier with regular services to North Korea.
